OnePlus is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer founded in the year 2013. The founders of OnePlus Pete Lau and Carl Pei both worked in another leading smartphone manufacturing company Oppo before starting their own company. Pete Lau who is the current CEO of OnePlus was the vice-president of Oppo. Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus worked as International Markets Manager of Oppo. Both of them decided to start their own company with a vision that they will produce high-end smartphones at a relatively lower price. They also decided that minimalistic design and user-friendly interface should define their smartphones.
