Tecno Camon 20 Review
Today we are going to review the Tecno Camon 20 8/256 GB model by Tecno Mobile which is priced at ৳19,999 in the Bangladeshi market. The device comes in three different colors, Predawn Black, Glacier Glow, and Serenity Blue.
Design and Build
The very first thing that will catch your attention about the
Tecno Camon 20 smartphone is the design of its back panel. It has this diamond cut matt finish which looks very premium, especially at a price tag like this. On the front, there is a center punch-hole camera with almost no bezel. There is no display protection, but there is IP53 dust and splash resistance. The phone is only 7.8 mm slim which is one of the slimmest in the market. Overall, it comes with an excellent design and a fair kind of build quality, but screen protection is lacking.
Display
The display is a 6.67 inches Full HD+ AMOLED one. However, there is no 90Hz refresh rate and you have to be satisfied with a traditional 60Hz refresh rate screen which is one of its major drawbacks. The display has an always-on feature. It is also one of the best displays you can get around this price.
Camera
One of the main features or advantages of the Tecno Camon 20 is its front as well as the back camera. You can capture some fine-looking shots with the 64 MP main back camera and the 32 MP front camera. If camera and design are your main priorities under a 20K budget, just get this phone and look nowhere else.
There is up to 1080p Full HD video recording in both cameras without any stabilization and the video quality should also satisfy you.
Battery and Performance
The 5000 mAh battery comes with a 33W fast charger. It is the fastest you can get around this price so, we are glad with the battery and charging.
The chipset is a MediaTek Helio G85 with 8 GB RAM. Here we have a little complaint. You can get the Infinix Note 30 for 1K less price at ৳18,999 with a far superior Helio G99 chipset. We expected at least a Helio G88 chipset here. Phone Like the Xiaomi Redmi 12 is offering the Helio G88 at a lower price but it’s behind in terms of overall specs. If we leave all of the comparisons aside, we would still say A Helio G88 chipset instead of G85 would look much more attractive although the difference in performance isn’t that big. So, it’s kind of acceptable.
The good news is that we have the latest Android 13.
Storage, Connectivity and Others
There is 256 GB of huge storage but it’s eMMC 5.1 and not UFS so, it’s a bit slower. Still, phones are mostly offering only up to 128 GB ROM for this price so, we appreciate it from Tecno. There is also a dedicated MicroSD slot.
The audio comes with dual speakers. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor which is very rare in under 20K phones. There are USB Type-C, FM Radio, WLAN, BlueTooth, GPS, 3.5 mm jack etc. connectivity features. There is no NFC.
Overall, If you are looking for an all-rounder smartphone under 20K price, the Tecno Camon 20 is one of the best choices right now. The Note 30 smartphone from Infinix is one of its main competitors. You can check out the link below to see their comparison and decide which one should you pick.
