History

Oppo was officially launched in the year 2004, but in May 2014, the company released its flagship phone Oppo Find 7 which has got a tremendous amount of attention and success all over the world. Another phone Oppo Find 7a was also a great worldwide success for the company. Then they have decided to expand the business to many more countries to reach more potential customers. In 2016, Oppo became the fourth most selling smartphone brand worldwide and the number one smartphone brand in China. Since then, they didn’t have to look back. It is one of the most successful smartphone brands in the globe still in 2022.

Oppo in Bangladesh

From September 2014, their Smartphones were officially available in Bangladesh. They have started their journey with seven smartphones. The company introduced phones like Oppo N1 Mini and N3 back in 2014 that contained highly innovative rotating camera technology. With this feature, one could use a single powerful camera as both front and back camera. In their early days, Oppo was mostly known for high budget Android smartphones. But now, they have established themselves in the highly demanding low-mid range scene in Bangladesh along with some mid-range and premium flagship releases.

Phones like Oppo A3s got a massive response among the young generation for its trendy notch design, slim body, fine performance, strong battery and impressive camera. This one single release helped them to make a smooth way to 2019 as one of the leading brands of Bangladesh. In 2021, Oppo remains as one of the most popular smartphone maker of Bangladesh. Some of their releases in 2021 are Oppo F19 and F19 Pro. In the beginning of 2022, Oppo remained in focus with the release of Oppo A76. In 2023, Oppo continues its journey with releases such as Oppo Reno8 T, Oppo A77, Oppo A77s, A78 and so on. A popular phone like Oppo Reno 10 5G became unofficially available in some retail stores.
